FREE RESELLER PROFIT CALCULATOR
A good find.
But is it a good margin?
Check the numbers before you buy or list. Enter your expected sale price, purchase cost, fees, and shipping to estimate what you will keep.

Margin is undefined at zero revenue; ROI is undefined at zero purchase cost. Break-even is the lowest nonnegative item price that covers these costs, assuming fees stay fixed. If fees change with the sale price, update them and recalculate.
Keep this with your inventory.
Bring the purchase cost and estimate notes into a new item draft. Review it after signing in, then choose whether to add the unsold item.
Draft expires after 24 hours in this browser. No sale is recorded. Your calculator amounts are not sent to analytics.THE NUMBERS BEHIND THE NUMBER
Sale price isn’t profit.
For example, a $50 item with $5 shipping collected brings in $55. Subtract a $15 purchase cost, $7 in fees, and $6 in shipping expense. The estimated profit is $27.
− purchase cost − fees − shipping expense
Margin and ROI answer different questions.
Margin is profit divided by revenue, including shipping collected. In this example, $27 ÷ $55 is about 49.1%.
Purchase-cost ROI is profit divided by the item's purchase cost. Here, $27 ÷ $15 is 180%. It is not a return on all business expenses or your time.
Break-even item price covers the entered costs after shipping collected. It assumes your fee amount stays fixed. If a different sale price changes the fee, update that amount and calculate again.
A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Before you get started.
Is this an eBay fee calculator?
It is a reseller profit calculator. You enter your own fee amount, so it works with manually estimated fees for eBay or another marketplace. It does not fetch marketplace rates or connect to an account.
Why can margin or ROI be blank?
A percentage needs a nonzero denominator. Margin is unavailable when revenue is zero, and purchase-cost ROI is unavailable when the purchase cost is zero. The dollar profit can still be calculated.
Does saving an estimate record a sale?
No. It stores a temporary draft in this browser. After signing in on the same browser, you review the draft and explicitly add the inventory item. You record a real sale separately.
